Bridge Architect Beta is another bridge building game where your engineering skills will be put to the test in an attempt to design a solid structure that will allow passage with minimum costs. Being Beta (or at least having this word in the name) does indicate an unpolished game that is still in development. Although some aspects can clearly use some additional development, all in all this is a working app with a decent amount of fun included. So if you can get past the roughness, you should be fine.
If you are looking for a premium quality app, World of Goo would be a fine candidate. This game has a lot in common with the classic bridge builder but a little more… gooey. Your job as the player will be to build two dimensional structures using different kinds of goo balls in order to reach a certain point on the map. Other than building structures there are no more similarities with any bridge building game. As you will quickly see, World of Goo has stunning graphics, music, sound effects, storyline and humor packed into a single app.
If real life parking isn’t challenging enough for you, then why not try Parking Frenzy? This game requires you to steer your car and park it into a designated position. Sounds easy, right? Well, try doing this with a bird’s eye view and with a touchscreen. We guarantee you will wreck your car immediately. The bad part is that we just summed up the entire game in a few sentences. Other than driving around obstacles and reaching the destination there are quite a few elements that make you keep on playing.
Magma Mobile brings yet another quick puzzle game suited for the casual gamers. Just like their other bubble blast games, Ice Floe features the same enormous number of levels, quick gameplay, easy rules and quite a fun experience for the young players. You control a small penguin that slides on a floating iceberg. Your job will be to move the penguin into the marked square on the ice by using the fish, polar bears or eskimos at your disposal. The rules are easy to learn but the levels will challenge your imagination soon enough.
If you are looking for a fast puzzle game, Cube of Atlantis is something you might try. This is a game where you have a 3D cube that you can rotate around and light up its sides in different colors. There are 20 levels in the free version and 50 in the paid one in which you need to come up with the correct pattern of actions in order to solve the puzzle. The hints are scarce and the game tends to be quite challenging because of this. So don’t get fooled by the first easy levels.
EVAC HD is a modern day Pacman for the Android operating system. Although a bit more complex and with superior graphics and sound, the basic principles are the same. You need to navigate through a maze, collect all the pellets and run away from enemies that patrol the area around you. There are many different mazes with bright colors and new challenges so the modern gamer won’t dismiss EVAC HD so easily. The game also follows the story of Cratos and Shadowbox. They will join in with dialogs along the way, Cratos helping you out while Shadowbox placing obstacles in your path.
Magma Mobile brings in another quick game on the Android Market (or should we say Google Play?). Why quick? Because it’s easy to learn, it doesn’t take a lot of brains to play and apart from fast reactions doesn’t require anything else from you. The main character in this game is (you’ve guessed it) a dolphin. This dolphin swims in a two dimensional environment (from left to right) and you control only the depth by tapping the screen. Of course there are many bonuses, bad objects that you shouldn’t run into and stars to collect along the way.
Arcade fans will most likely prefer this title from Hexage. Robotek is a futuristic game with stunning graphics and special effects set in a world where machines have taken over the entire planet. It is up to you to battle every single mainframe node and regain control. Robotek is all about calculating risks and choosing your next action wisely. The battles are turn based and victory is achieved when the other robot mainframe is defeated. Every victory brings you access to that node.
HeavenHell is another interesting physics puzzle platform game that wraps the gameplay around the fight between angels and demons. It is up to you to push all the demons into the fires of hell and collect all possible diamonds while at it. Before getting your hopes up, this isn’t quite a Mario type platform game. Although there are these platforms, you cannot move any character, except turn it into a cube or a ball (obviously cubes stay still, while balls will roll down).
As Valentine’s day is approaching more and more apps get a quick new theme to celebrate the international celebration of love. One of these is the Bubble Blast. Don’t get your hopes up that it is a brand new game intended for the 14th of February. It is just the original Bubble Blast but with hearts and other Valentine’s characteristic features. So If you are playing just for fun and not for the theme you won’t find anything new in Bubble Blast Valentine.
