Flaregames brings us a skyscraper management game, Ocean Tower. The game comes from a unique approach that allows you to build floors above and below the water line. Yes, the tower floats on the ocean. Apart from building floors, you will also need to carefully manage space in order to balance apartment size with necessities. The game is entirely free, but like any other economic game it allows in app purchases to speed up construction or provide other benefits.
Disney brings us an eye candy pirate game named Pirates of the Caribbean: Masters of the Seas. First of all, this is a game about economics so for those who are looking for action, cannon shooting and sword fighting, you might want to go search somewhere else. You begin with an entry level ship at your command and it is up to you to upgrade your stats, hire a crew, undertake quests and battle other players along the way. The graphics are very nice, the soundtrack is also pretty good (although there are no songs from the movie). However, there are a few shortcomings too.
Tiny Tower falls into the economic games, where effectively managing your resources is the key to success. As the name implies, the game revolves around a skyscraper, with each floor having a determined function (residential, service, recreation etc.). It is up to you to pick up the best employees for the job, to restock products and keep everyone happy while building the tallest building around.
Farm Frenzy is an economics game, where you manage a small farm with livestock and production facilities, all gathered neatly on a small smartphone screen. It’s easy to learn and also fun to watch your animals grow along with your money and score. Though the graphics are cartoonish and a little pixelated, the gameplay will keep you hooked and entertained for sure.
